About the role
Groundworker
We’re looking for Groundworkers to join our in-house team. You’ll work on a wide range of domestic, commercial and civil engineering projects across Devon – from excavation and drainage to foundations, concrete work and the finishing touches – as part of a well-established team with over 25 years in the industry.
What you’ll be doing
- Excavating trenches and foundations, by hand and alongside plant
- Laying and connecting drainage pipework, manholes and chambers
- Fixing formwork and reinforcement, and placing concrete for footings, slabs and walls
- Preparing sub-bases and installing kerbs, patios and driveways
- Keeping sites tidy and safe, working to method statements and risk assessments
- Working closely with machine operators, supervisors and other trades
What we’re looking for
- Experience in groundworks or civil engineering
- A valid CSCS card, or willingness to obtain one
- A good understanding of site health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Happy working outdoors on sites across Devon
- A full UK driving licence is an advantage
