About the role
Machine Operator
We’re looking for experienced Machine Operators to join our team. You’ll operate plant on projects across Devon – excavating foundations and drainage runs, preparing sites and moving materials – working closely with our groundworkers to keep every job running safely and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing
- Operating 360° excavators and other site plant, such as dumpers and rollers
- Excavating foundations, trenches and drainage runs to the required levels
- Site clearance, earthworks, grading and sub-base preparation
- Loading, moving and placing materials around site
- Carrying out daily plant checks and reporting any defects
- Working safely alongside groundworkers and other trades
What we’re looking for
- Experience operating plant on construction or groundworks sites
- CPCS or NPORS cards for the plant you operate
- Accuracy when working to levels and setting-out
- A strong awareness of site health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and a good team player
- A full UK driving licence is an advantage
